Early Life
WEB Donald McNichol Sutherland CC (17 July 1935 – 20 June 2024) was a Canadian actor and anti-war activist whose film career spanned over seven decades.
Career
WEB Sutherland rose to fame after starring in films including The Dirty Dozen (1967), MASH (1970), Kelly's Heroes (1970), Klute (1971), and Don't Look Now (1973). WEB Sutherland took a number of other roles in between these two films such as the theatrical adaptation Oedipus the King (1968), the musical Joanna (1968), and the science fiction film The Andromeda Strain (1971).
Personal Life
WEB Sutherland was married to Shirley Douglas from 1966 to 1970. They had one child together, actor Kiefer Sutherland. WEB Sutherland was also married to Francine Racette from 1972 to 1979. They had two children together, Rossif Sutherland and Angus Sutherland.
Death
WEB Sutherland died on 20 June 2024, at the age of 88. The cause of death was not disclosed.

WEB Sutherland was one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation. He was known for his versatility, his intense performances, and his commitment to social justice.
