Missing British Teenager Jay Slater Found Safe
Teenager's family and friends relieved after he was found in Tenerife

Jay Slater, a 19-year-old British man who went missing in Tenerife on Monday, has been found safe. Slater was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts, and was last heard from on Monday morning as he was leaving his hotel to go for a walk. Police knocked on his mother's door at 2am and told her that she should go to Tenerife.
Search dogs and mountain rescue teams joined the search for Slater, and he was eventually found on Wednesday afternoon. He is now back with his family and friends, and is said to be in good health.
Former Coronation Street actress Vicky Entwistle, who is a friend of Slater's family, gave a message of support during the search. She said, "I hope to God he is found safe. He is a lovely lad, and I know his family and friends are very worried about him."
Slater's disappearance had sparked a major search effort, and his family and friends had been appealing for information. They have now thanked everyone who helped to find him, and are relieved that he is now safe.
