Caitlin Clark headlines this year's draft class

Caitlin Clark, the dynamic guard from Iowa, was widely expected to go No. 1 overall and she did not disappoint. Clark is a four-time All-American and the 2022 Big Ten Player of the Year. She averaged 27.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game in her junior season. Clark is a versatile scorer who can create her own shot and make plays for others. She is also a strong defender. Azzi Fudd, the 2022 Naismith High School Player of the Year, went No. 2 overall to the New York Liberty. Fudd is a 6'2" wing player who is known for her shooting, athleticism, and defense. She averaged 26.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game in her senior season at St. John's College High School. Fudd is expected to be a key contributor for the Liberty right away. Breanna Beal, the 2023 Gatorade National Player of the Year, went No. 3 overall to the Atlanta Dream. Beal is a 6'4" center who is known for her size, strength, and athleticism. She averaged 23.4 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 4.2 blocks per game in her senior season at Riverdale Baptist School. Beal is expected to be a force in the paint for the Dream. The 2024 WNBA Draft was a historic night for the league. With so much young talent entering the league, the future of the WNBA is bright.
